The hardcore horror novel Snuff by authors Eric Enck and Adam Huber, is debuting this Friday, May 10th. If you missed the review I wrote for Fear Zone last month, here’s it is again. If you’re looking for a novel that will completely shock and horrify you, this is the book for you!


The other day I overheard someone saying that they thought the world was a much more violent place than ever before in the history of the human race. This made me pause. My gut reaction was to agree, but then, I began to wonder: is this really true? Is the world more violent? Is the human race more vicious than previous centuries? Or are we merely more open about the violence that takes place to the point that we have become jaded to the horrors humans inflict on one another? Serial killers are nothing new to our species; mass murders have been around as long as history allows us to recount. A new review by yours truly is up on the Fatally Yours website….


I’m always a bit reluctant to review movie screeners sent to me by teenage directors. Partly, because, I remember full well being 19 and thinking that everything I created was absolutely genius. That I was a brilliant rebel punk artist and the world simply did not appreciate the “message” I was screaming from the rooftops. It’s probably a very good thing that I did not have access to a video camera back then or I quite possibly would have started making films of my own and, being as brazen as I was, mailing them out to review sites thinking I would be “discovered” as the next great American filmmaker. It’s a good thing, because, much like the DVD’s I often receive from young filmmakers, I would probably had my work, along with my heart, ripped to shreds and handed back to me in a plastic trash bag. Thus, I am usually very hesitant to write a brutally honest review of such a young team of filmmakers’ first endeavor. Then again, I always say, if you don’t want to hear the truth, don’t go looking for it. A journey of fantastic proportions…
Never have I been on such a journey…at least not in real life. But with immersing myself in Eternal Vigilance, I was transported to another world. With the “awakening” of Tynan, the lead character in this mesmerizing epic, I felt as if I was actually walking in his footsteps. A journey through time, through lifetimes and even in today’s darkest depths, this book will lure you in, like a supplicant willingly sacrificing themselves to their master. An old tale with a modern twist, this book will engross you and hypnotize you. The descriptions are real and you feel as if you are actually part of the story. That is not something that many authors in today’s word can accomplish. Rich details abound in this book and chills will traverse your spine…not from horror but from the otherworldly sensation of being a part of the goings on as they unfold. It would not surprise me to see this book considered one of the greatest pieces of vampire literature, ever…


I give this book a 9 out of Twisted 10 for timeless tales and stories that don’t let you go…
