It will soon be possible to walk along a dedicated track from the town of Óbidos to the lagoon or even to take advantage of a new rent-a.bike service in Óbidos to visit the world-renowned ecological and leisure area.

It is intended to plant trees for shade along the route and there will be benches for those who need to rest or just want to take in the ambience of the rural scene.

Motor vehicles will not be permitted to use the route which terminates where the River Arnoia meets the lagoon at Arelho.
