PORTUGUESE DRIVER Carlos Sousa delighted the nation by taking first place in the car category over the opening two stages of the Dakar Rally.
Over one million fans turned out to cheer on the competitors in the Portuguese leg of the event, which included stages in Alcácer do Sal/Grândola and Portimão.
