The Christmas animation will take place in various parts of town simultaneously on the 8,9,10, 16, 17, 20 and 23rd of December as well as on Jan 2 and 3rd.

There will be presents for the youngsters and performance art all aimed at bringing more activity to the commercial areas in the run-up to Christmas and on the first weekend of 2007.

Father Christmas' house will be in Rua Miguel Bombarda and other principal shopping areas will see a variety of entertainment. A separate Father Christmas' tent will serve as a supervised creche for smaller children to enjoy whilst their parents do their Christmas shopping. Father Christmas will visit regularly. Children will be able to leave their letters to Father Christmas at his house safe in the knowledge that they will be delivered personally.
