Oceanário de Lisboa, Lisbon’s Oceanarium, the educational and conservational sea-life centre, has been awarded a medal of Tourist Merit. Inaugurated in 1998 with a mission to promote awareness and knowledge about oceans around the world, it houses more than 8,000 animals and 500 plant species.
