Adega Tipica do Coto - Review by Mr Anthony Dodd
The Adega Tipica do Coto closed last year but following major refurbishment has just reopened under new management as Restaurante do Coto (Tel.968691634). Only 5 minutes out of Caldas off the Rio Maior road.
The food is Portuguese with a difference. An imaginative selection of hot and cold starters which changes daily. The main fish and meat dishes are limited in number but the quality is first class and cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and the waiters are helpful and attentive. Not cheap but well worth a visit. Closed on Monday.

Comments
Having eaten at the restaurant last night I can endorse Tony's comments 100%.
The quality of the meat which we ate was outstanding; between us we had both the lamb and the steak. Both were as tender as you could wish for with my wife proclaiming that her lamb was the best she had eaten anywhere - ever!
The service was spot-on; the decor fresh and modern and the seating very comfortable.
I venture to say that a visit to the Restaurant to Coto should be a MUST for anyone living or holidaying in the area.
Our congratulations go to the owners and staff for a restaurant which genuinely rivals our old favourite Sabores d'Italia.
