It is a lovely area, fantastic beaches, no hassle, friendly peope. Bring a dictionary and give Portuguese a try!

Hi David,

Just wanted to let you know what a lovely holiday we had at
Villa Cristina. It was everything we hoped for. A beautifully
kept apartment which felt very homely and cared for.

Unfortunately the weather let us down so we couldn't use the
pool or tennis courts but we will return in the Spring or Summer
and make full use of the facilities then.

Foz is an interesting place and we enjoyed our trips out to
Obidos, Peniche and Baleal. We also had a good hotel in Porto
which we would recommend (Hotel Eurostars das Artes) and managed
to even have a short cruise on the Douro.

Just to say that we had a lovely holiday in Apartment Cristina. Everything
was great and the view was stunning. I think our only hiccup was the long
queue (2 and a half hours!) to pick up our hire car at Lisbon airport...

Hello,

For your reference we didn't book car hire via your website link. It was
through www.Auto-Europe.co.uk (the company/desk we were instructed to queue
at in Lisbon airport was 'Guerin') The price was very favourable, hence the
queues, which we noticed were similarly long on the way back (perhaps it
being a Saturday had something to do with it? We were also told this was
typical at this time of year). Several desks had long queues. Those that
didn't were inevitably those with considerably higher rates! Hertz didn't
have any queue, Avis had a small queue, and the other good one we think may
have been 'Auto Jardim' (Spanish?).

Anyway, it was just a blip and didn't spoil our holiday. This is just for
your info.

Hi David, it was really nice to meet you when you popped round during our
stay. The villa was perfect and the view stunning! We had a brilliant two
weeks and did loads of sight-seeing; we absolutely loved that area and
will definitely be back.

The welcome pack was a really good start as we arrived in the middle of the night. In the house everything was well arranged, and this gave us a relaxing feeling which only increased over the next few days. The restaurant at the beach was nice with a friendly atmosphere. We also enjoyed our trip to the Berlenga Islands and the medieval festival at Obidos.

We stayed relaxed, the people were so nice, the children loved the pool, the tennis court and the beach so close by. The house, the music and the bbq with a lovely view of the lagoon - Obrigado por Tudo!
