Flamingos
Has anybody else seen the flamingos on the lagoon? I have only seen six but I'm told that there is a resident flock of about 30.

I haven't seen them at all this year. But I saw a few near the Bom Sucesso rear entrance about two years ago.

I have a house overlooking the lagoon near Nadadouro. When I was there in September there were indeed about 30 Flamingos. When I went back in November I saw just a couple.

When I was in Praia Del Rey in 2006 I counted and photographed 37 flamingoes on the lagoon. There is no particular place as it depends on the state of the tides etc. On the Praia del Rey estate I observed Black Woodpeckers in fact they came into the garden of the villa. Honey Buzzards where seen over the hills and Hen Harriers on the back road to Obidos. White Wagtails in abundance. Good Birding.

Hello I use to see them all the time. As i was born in Peniche and i always use to go there often during holidays.
Is the one of the most relaxing places i have been ( i love it in winter time as well)
I am looking for two friends that i met there Marc and Dean 1995/96 (they are not flamingos), they had a house by the beach Bom Sucesso, near the cafe.
